Simulation of Impedance Changes with Aging in Lithium Titanate-based Cells Using Physics-Based Dimensionless Modeling

چکیده
Quantifying aging effects in lithium-ion cells with chemistries that have a flat open circuit potential is challenging. We implement physics-based electrochemical model to track changes the impedance response of lithium titanate-based cells. Frequency domain equations pseudo two-dimensional are made dimensionless, and corresponding non-dimensional parameters estimated using Levenberg-Marquardt routine. The weighs relative contributions diffusion, ionic conduction within electrolyte phase against solid electronic towards cell aging. Solid-phase charge transfer resistance double layer capacitance at solid-liquid interface accounted for particle impedance. estimation routine tracks dimensionless accelerated cycling data from full over 1000 cycles. can be deployed short time state models without requiring prior knowledge battery chemistry, format, or capacity.
